We believe in God the Father who has created the world and governs all things; that He is our faithful Father. We believe in God the Son who came to this earth as Jesus Christ, died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and arose from the dead to give us new life. We believe in God the Holy Spirit who lives in the believer and continually nurtures the believer that he may grow in His understanding and expression of the Christian life. We believe that God does His work though the ministry of the church. That the church is compelled to be involved in a Word & Deed ministry, faithfully teaching & preaching the Bible, which is God’s inspired revelation of Himself and doing the works of Christ as we reach out in compassion to the lost and needy. We believe that through faith in Jesus Christ, we receive the forgiveness of sins; one day will be raised from the dead, and share in the glory of eternal life.
A summary of our faith is contained in the three Creeds we share with all Christian Churches: The Apostles, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds. Our doctrinal stands come out of the Reformation: The Belgic Confession, The Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dordt. We also hold to the Contemporary Testimony: Our World Belongs to God.
